    Sounds like you have either bad wires, (Internal break) Or more common, corrosion at the plug(s) where the wire harnesses plug together. Using a pin tool you can remove the wires from the connector and clean the contacts. If you cannot do this, we have used CLR in a small cup, soak the plugs...

    We use many ADA heads here as well. I use Newton Meters for torque. I torque head bolts to 30nm, and girdle bolts to 40nm. I do it is 4 steps. 10, 20, 30 , then final 40 on the girdle bolts. Has always worked for me.....

    Did you grind the ribs off your hull? Are you sure it is not hitting the engine mount? We build many SJ's here, with B pipes, and have no vibrations.

    If a crank lets go, it can/will ruin the rest of your engine. I say, you have some pretty good warning signs your engine is due for some maintenance. That is a LOT of rust on your reed stops. If your reed stops have that much rust, I promise your crank has been subject to the same moisture...
