Step 1, buy this ski. Step 2, find another. Avoid project skis for now, it wont be worth the headache. Finding parts for these SJ's is a walk in the park since they are so interchangeable and have been used on every yamaha ski forever. Step 3 Have fun!

Yes, many people remove the baffle as soon as they get the ski. Yes, you need to purchase the "free flow" exhaust tube. Worx, Riva and a few others sell them. Very easy swap.

The ProWatercraft rear wedge sponsons are awesome, handling is improved and they claim 1-2mph gains. I will say this is the first time anyone has ever claimed mph gains and I 100% believe them. The difference was absolutely notable.

I have a mint 1997 GSi for my wife, she loves it. A few other ladies in our group ride them as well. The 720 is a great motor, the single carb sips on fuel from the huge tank, which I believe to be around 13-14 gallons. Hard to beat it, especially when 720 motors and parts are everywhere.
