I rode the Jap's boat last year, those strap are 100% rigid, its like having metal inside or some hard plastic, so these straps been solid, all you need a bit of pressure to the side and you are locked in

I didn't had the time to put on the scale yet, my older hull was 49lbs and rtr was 217bls, I transfer all the same components and this hull was 43lbs, but the pole is a bit heavier, , my guess will be 212-215

I had the RRP Light version, here for some testing on a freak, its under 9LBS with the chin pad and tubes (tubes are light too) finishing is amazing a high quality design.
