it is automotive door trim, you can buy it at any auto paint supply store. just use some extra bonding agent as the 3m tape is not enough. usually about 30.00 for 25 ft. roll
for sale, it took me to long to get built. i am just not into now.
less than 2 hrs. on complete new motor, umi, billet scat pump etc.
can bring to nashville
your getting enough air flow as is for that set up. without butchering the hood to much you can simply open up the water baffle under the top hood with more wholes. or simply enlarge the stock air inlets and run bigger hose
i just went to a local place and got the whole setup for 30.00 they had stainless lifters too just not the length i wanted.
but everything else was stainless. i guessed on the lift pressure, what is everyone using?
i just need the mounts, i can get the lifters : )
kinda wish it was friday so i could ride tomorrow.
want to come back down and fix my hull before the weekend, just kidding, no really :)
glad you got home, the little guy hung on until 9:15. he got in bed after a shower and started itching his legs :)
the only thing it needs is hydraulic hood lift. i will put one on if you come up with a proper way to mount it.
nothing that has not been done before, but this is his design and build with my .2 for the upper cowl. i think it makes it look more factory. he'll post pics tomorrow i am sure but he is driving the 4.5 hrs. home after a complete build, on the fly fab work and a full 5 hours of riding all our...
thank you again tom for all the hard work and install.
he built one hell of a hood, i will let him post pics.
istantly able to rail it almost as well as my spec blaster, give me a month and i will rail it as well. maybe they will let me race it in spec class.
everyone that rode...
same here, i wanted to buy it and start producing the hulls my self. i really wanted the hood mold. the hood weighs about 6-7 pds empty w/ old school technology
but carbon blaster over in oz looks like he has made a similar hull mold. just wish he would incorporate the aluminum stringers...
the factory yamaha carbon boats were from rpott per tim judge. as far as i was told there were not many of these made. i looked rpott up and the mold was destroyed.
the hull and hood are rpott, the topdeck is factory yamaha. this is because in mod rules you have to run a stock topdeck...
i do not think they are the same. i have dual 48's on my stock hull and the rear hose does not hit. there on the wide riva manifold and have the big k & n filters as well.
but personally i would be making my own air intakes.
on my carbon hoods we have a huge aluminum intake tube directly...
bk
i got it from paul del rosio (sp) he rides alot of macc's stuff. i am not sure who he got it from. it looks like protec stuff to me as well. i just do not know if anyone rode a mod rpott for protec or if someone just copied the paint scheme.
weight is not an issue it is to light...
