It seems like it will be really uncomfortable. When you are riding surfstance both of your feet are pointed in the same direction. That will not be the case with offset footholds. Just try standing on the floor that way. It is a weird way to try to stand.

Mine aren't offset but they are different from each other. I put my left foot back and my right foot forward, so my left foot hits my hold at an angle that wasn't comfortable with a standard hold. So hubby cut that left hold for me to give me a better angle and we left the right one as is. When...

Bingo! This is OFTEN the case when we see REALLY stupid/dangerous stuff happening around here. There is nothing I like to see less than a bunch of people coming out on ONE ski. Nothing good ever comes of that.
