ya, i had a spring rust apart in there, i made another spring for the contact , but that seal is why is failed, works fine now, but won't take long for that new spring to rust

there is a small hole @ the bottom, that is the only other passage other than the cross pipe

that is not a hole, just where it sets around the exhaust in pipe, i'll take out the lock & snap a pic for those who want to know what it looks like, that's what these sites are for
