if your talking about the dark ring around the top of the bores, thats just carbon and the rings dont go quite to the top to scrape it away...for lack of a better term. happens on all engines, big or small. 2 or 4 stroke.

pressure test just the waterjacket and see if it holds pressure

i used a piece of stock fuel line for my restrictors, and it worked good. cut it about an inch long and shoved it in the water line just before the pisser. also sounds like you may have a clogged headpipe or somthing. id try blocking the line that is coming off the head and overboard and see if...

and you definatly gotta get your pistons before you bore it....otherwise you wont have anything to measure when you bore.

im 5'11'' 170 and i got -4 pole and -1 turnplate with straight bars. seems almost perfect. ive never seen a calculation or formula for it tho.

ive never run them either. and also never had a problem...but i run oem airbox.

ditch the stock pole man! i owned 2 sx's, both poles broke. my buddy has gone thru 2 sx poles. he bougth an ac racing alum pole and its been rock solid ever since. def worth it on an sx. good find for 400 bucks man!

ya if u blow up your ski 5 times you got other issues haha. but no problems with heli-coils, they would probly be better then stock threads if installed right IMO
