I just ran the housing from the original starter and it worked. All set!

I was wondering if just switching the housing could work........I might try that next. I haven't played with DC motors much. Thanks

So..... bought a mint motorcycle starter for $30 but it spins backwards. looking at the brushes and everything they are wired identical. What do I have to do to change rotation???

Just looking at the motorcycle ones some have two orings like Sea Doo and some have one like Yamaha..... Think either would work?

My starter got really weak on me so I just pulled it apart. There is a brass color metal strap that goes from the positive connection over to two of the brushes that is cracked in half. Does anyone know if those are available? I see them in the aftermarket kits but aftermarket scare me since...

They are still only staying straight up in the straight aways. Most will move forward and down in the turns. I agree that crouched with a Lower CG is more stable but most humans don’t have quads that can allow them to squat that long......

Tem called my ski “the ice breaker” when he built it and it was still only like 63lbs. Only one way to find out for sure which one is stronger. Bumper car time.

I rode Gomez Matrix years ago in the surf. I thought it was a lot of fun. Ski is more of a fast carving surf ski or good Rec riding ski. Not a flatwater ski
