I had to notch the cylinders in two different places so that the girdled head would fit. The case studs wont be able to fit without cutting some of the cylinder material. I did not get an up close pic of where to cut, but here it is with the new head on it.

There is exactly 2 inches from the end of the insert to the back of the hole. So, probably just enough to drill about 3/4 of an inch back?
