Yo Rollin, how did you cut off the back of your SXR. I just found out my Trinity is taking on water.

Check ALL fuel line connections. Check all fuel lines for tears, etc... Tighten down the cylinder to cases, Tighten down the intake manifold to the cases and the carbs to the manifold. Restart and test. Look for any oil coming out at the base gasket. FOR SURE air leak.

I wouldn't paint the engine bay...It won't hold.

Those stock 701s have more power than the pre 2008s. Everyone thinks 96-07 RN superjets are fast, but that is because they ALL have bpipes, enhancers, intake grates, aftermarket impellers, Compression, porting. Stock, SuperJets are dogs.

Sorry, missed this. I'd probably go with the Carbon/Glass blend and I'd go -4 instead of -2.

If I unplug it, does it set the timing back to stock? I just twisted them together.

Get a Waterdawg pin system. They fit on SXRs.

Can't I just solder the two wires together with some shrink wrap to advance the timing?

Or sell your whole set up, and buy a USED aftermarket ski with a 701 bpipe...etc... you can always sell that motor to help finance a bigger one later.

I wouldn't go with the -4. That standard length is a perfect surf hull. Best riding hull I've been on so far. Still need to ride a Matrix and a new Rickter. ....but as of now, nothing comes close.
