Just got a new to me tigercraft fvpro for my new Miller boat chaser. Carbon hull , tnt ported Dasa 1000cc , h2o torrent 160mm pump, blowsion pole.
Should be an upgrade from that blown up and destroyed 760 green hurricane.
A mag pump also gives any hull straight line stability at wfo or higher speeds. My pos hurricane with a mag tracks straighter while chasing boats than my xfs with a stock 144. Also the prop dont spin in whitewash water full of air. No power differences but definitely some nice advantages if needed.
Oem Yamaha shafts are put together from 3 pieces. The splines are less stainless and more steel, so it's going to rust more. I've got a stack of shafts laying out in the boneyard and some are pretty crusty on that end. Thats why Aftermarket garbage shafts strip out in 2 seconds. They aren't...
If the solenoid clicks, 99.9% of the time it works. On kawi anyway. Yami is another story. If the starter has a dead spot on the armature, it wont spin if it stops there. I'd bet money it's the starter taking a dump. If you bypass the solenoid by zapping across the terminals and you can get it...
Are you sure it's a dry pipe? They made a wet with less fittings. They were $1200 new . The Japanese pro freestylers used this pipe on their 1200 motors with a carbon chamber some years back.
The only good thing about wdk hulls is the fact they use couch mounts. All hull builders that use sj mounts are just screwing the buyer. Superjet only mounts are rare and expensive. Couch are dime a dozen. I've had one couch mount go soggy and one separate from salt probably.
I rounded up all my cheap 1/4" drive sockets and used the ones with the smallest thru holes as restrictors. I put them right at the pissers for full pressure and flow into the motor, pipe and waterbox. Pipe and waterbox use their own mikuni main jets. The motor itself is supposed to be about 150...
You just need to hit it with more speed and in the exact correct spot on the wake . You can waste a lot of money trying to make a 701 put out the desired power
