He is talking about the actual vacuum in the venturi of the carb being sucked into the intake. If you restrict the flow into the bore of the carb from a stock air cleaner it will pull harder and suck more fuel so the pop-off has to be increased. This is just like when you put your hand over your...
Not sure...
I live in California and blow my skis out really well and just with the temperature changes from day to night we get ,plus fog on the coast I have seen condensation on my sparkplug electrodes so I fog just because I am paranoid.
There is no way to get all the water out of the waterbox so you are always going to have condensation in the exhaust and that goes directly into the cylinders. Fogging is easy cheap insurance although few actually do it. I probably take it to the extreme but it helps me sleep at night.
Build your own.
Been using the same setup for 30 years and upgraded to the mountain bike hand pump 10 years ago when it came with my new bike, never liked using the compressor as now I can sneak up on the "pop" and see the exact number.
Nope. I fog all my skis after every day of riding. I only replace my plugs at the beginning or each season and that’s it. I never foul plugs even when we go from sea level and ride in the Sierras at 5,000’.
The main water line on the hull goes to the lower fitting on the pipe almost under the pipe at the rear.
The larger head fitting goes to the pipe fitting with the stainless barb fitting. Basically out of the head straight down to the pipe. This is the hose that you tee off to the bypass out the...
I know you want electric but everything you are looking for to explore, see the sights and generally cruise around can be had pretty cheap, you just can’t kill them and if you decide to move on the prices don’t really change. And it’s street legal.
But it’s the opposite of high tech electric...
If fuel is dripping out the diaphragm cover as the op stated it’s not the needle and seat, it’s the diaphragm that is in the kits.
But I would agree and suggest any carb rebuild should include new needles and seats.
Yes, absolutely rebuild with Genuine Mikuni parts.
The good news is that if you don't the fire that the leaking fuel will cause will end your problems.
I use two of the Trojan 6V flooded batteries in my attitude toy hauler. The last set finally craped out after 12 years. They are awesome and have a lot of reserve power.
Wow! I keep reading about shipping delays and even @waxhead posted that he is getting sick of people complaining due to shipping issues beyond his control and he might have to stop the free shipping. I wasn't in a hurry so I ordered knowing there could be long delays.
Talk about awesome...
At this time, whatever pipe you can find for a reasonable price. Reasonable is the key word. IF you can find one used B-Pipes are going for $1,000 and I have seen new ones listed for $1,999, absolutely insane.
