Most of the time yes, but the AM Mikunis can be had in black or silver. Big difference between the oem yamaha and AM SBN's tho.

Does the solenoid click when you try and start it? Check for 12v at the small brown wire on the starter solenoid when the start button is pushed. If it's getting 12V and has a good ground (black wire) replace the starter solenoid. If there is not 12V at the brown wire, I'd suspect the start/stop...

Helicoil. They are stronger than the original aluminum thread. Not sure on the kawi, but the yamaha ones are M10x1.25

Let us know what you find out! I think they're only like $300 from blowsion. Gotta be cheaper elsewhere.

Because they can get water in them and fail. I think most people are sealing them up around the seam for added protection from water. You'll need a battery charger for lithium batteries too. Best way to go for a total loss ski!! Good luck!

Def true. It was pretty hard to instal my "mod" chamber in my phantom. It wouldnt fit with a stock tank, barely room for the waterbox. Then i realized @Aidan Burns sold me a minty limited chamber. :D:D

Awesome! Ive been loving my phantom in the surf so far! I get lots of weird looks about my "flip" ski being too short for the ocean, but I'm comfortable on it and I've been having a blast! We rode Ventura Saturday morning, planning on going back this weekend if you wanna join!
