Best battery

New to the site here and also new to aftermarket skis. I recently purchased a backie chan with a ET 967 and total loss ignition. Struggling with the battery setup. All of the regular acid batteries I have either wont even start it, or only work for only a couple of starts. Obviously I need a more powerful battery, so what is my best option? Besides doing away with the total loss. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

The lithium batteries have more voltage and stay at a contant voltage while your riding, 13.6 and work good for TL ignition. They require a specific type charger...,

On a glass Matt or lead acid The voltage drops as it's being used with TL ignition.

The odyssey glass Matt I used with my charging system boat I just used my battery maintainer..,

How many cca is the odyssey and what type ? I don't know if they make a lithium battery ?

Well it looks like the antigravity is the best then. Either 12 or 16 cell. Why do they say not for PWC ? Thanks for the help

There are other brands too, I msg a buddy who has a different brand so I'll let you know on that one.

The anti is sealed but people silicon the seam and around the posts as a secondary seal to help keep water out. You don't want to discharge below 13.2, I'll say 13.3 or you can kill it.....

I’ve had 2 16 cell AG throughout the years in 2 of my personal skis. Sealed the seams. No issues with either since I don’t discharge below 13v. Use AG low amp charger. I’ve had two battery tender batteries. First one I could not kill, when I thought I did kill it. It came back and I used it for another year. Second one was in a charging ski for 3 rides. Dead. Good voltage, zero amperage. I’ve installed EarthX also and it seems to be a good brand also.

To top that, local guy had bad luck with AG (discharge issue not AG’s fault) and insisted on trying something different. Well know company in our market recommended their battery and charger on the terms of the warranty is much more forgiving. 4 or 5 rides it was dead with the same ongoing issue. That company didn’t back it, and didn’t respond to warranty requests. It was an alien motion if I remember correctly. Once again I don’t believe it was the batteries fault as the guy wasn’t very proactive in maintaining the battery voltage

Thanks all for the info ! If I went with antigravity 16 cell approximately how long can I expect to run the battery before it would be discharged too much to come back to life ? I know I would have to actually test it

I do a lot of starting the engine during my ride and recharge after iam done for the day. Charging takes less then 15 min and do remove the battery for safety if possible. I also disconnect one cable when not in use Incase you get an unexpected parasitic draw.
