    Zeeltronic intermittent spark

How far did it discharge? You may have destroyed the battery. Start unplugging stuff until it doesn’t spark as big. Definitely measure the draw and unplug stuff until it goes down. Bilge pump? Those are usually suspect. Could be cut/grounded wire in stator. Could be cut/grounded wire to start...

DIY Total loss or MSD TL upgrade box 270USD?

Is it possible you had the lanyard hooked on all winter? I think the zeel stays powered if the lanyard is hooked up and that would certainly shorten that regulators life.

    OEM 155 Pump Talk

Enhancer advanced 3.5 degrees probably gave u 28ish degrees advance starting at 1k rpm or so. Probably more than You have now below 3k if you are running the off the shelf wax curve. Just sayin’

    OEM 155 Pump Talk

Check the zeel curve. Make sure you have all the timing in by like 1800. Wax curve brings timing in pretty late and makes bottom feel a little laggy.

    OEM 155 Pump Talk

I agree. I ran a 7/14 with a 781 and stock 155 in a havoc. It was perfect. Something is off. A loose pump (your previous setup) could mask tuning issues.

DIY Total loss or MSD TL upgrade box 270USD?

Yup that would do it. If you can get to the pins test for battery voltage on input side and +5v on the output side.

DIY Total loss or MSD TL upgrade box 270USD?

Ya it really is. It’s gotta be in the +5v voltage regulation circuit. I’d imagine the CDI circuit is independent and the IC that is the “brain” of the unit can be powered by the programmer or a 5v circuit powered by the battery and that’s why it works when plugged into The programmer.

DIY Total loss or MSD TL upgrade box 270USD?

i'd just make sure you have 12v to the zeel. Seems like you may not.

eh nvm thats using AC current from an alternator.

Smart Coils, Speeduino, Hall Effect, etc. - New ignition control ideas

Sorta related interesting read. Would be interesting to build my own CDI circuit and drive it with speeduino/etc https://www.homemade-circuits.com/universal-multi-spark-enhanced-cdi/amp/

Smart Coils, Speeduino, Hall Effect, etc. - New ignition control ideas

Ya you are correct but I think these AEM style coils will solve that https://blog.racedom.com/aem-high-output-igbt-inductive-smart-coil/

Smart Coils, Speeduino, Hall Effect, etc. - New ignition control ideas

That’s a pretty general statement. There’s lots of automotive ignitions that could work, sure. My concept could work with sny automotive ECU also but speeduino is simply a cheap one to test the concept with.

Smart Coils, Speeduino, Hall Effect, etc. - New ignition control ideas

I don’t think wasted spark is causing any loss The coils I’m talking about using aren’t standard automotive coils. They are “smart” coils. This means the driver is built into the coil. Essentially, the circuit that does the capacitive discharge is in the coil body, not the ignition control...

Smart Coils, Speeduino, Hall Effect, etc. - New ignition control ideas

Hey All, I've become mildly obsessed with ignition control recently... I've always hated MSD TL as its antiquated and unreliable. Zeel is fantastic and I've used it on all my setups so far. Every back-to-back test so far has shown almost no performance difference but recent testing on my TPE...

    Bridging external fuel pump outlets

Pretty common. I think it’s more about equalizing pressure and less about a safety if one gets clogged.

LS10 xs trim modification for easier pull

So I love my LS10 trim but it’s considerably harder to pull vs raptor. I moved the cable mount point on the lever arm and switched to odyssey lever with more throw and it’s now incredibly easy to pull and I can still get full trim throw. I’m talking 1 finger while on the throttle. Also now has...

    Zeeltronic backfire issues

In +/- trigger mode it uses the trailing edge for start timing. If you set to + only it will honor your low rpm settings. However, anecdotally I believe the RPM needs to be decent for zeel to get a good reading. So….. I’m planning to weld a glob on the trailing edge of both lumps and extend it 5...
