Other Crankshafts - What and Where to Buy???

Let’s see. SBT takes a blown up crank worth nothin (trash) take it all apart on an assembly line. They toss the busted pieces, and put a Frankenstein crank back together with the ‘good’ pieces. Maybe a new bearing here or there, from China no doubt... slap a fantastic warranty on just the crank...

Other Crankshafts - What and Where to Buy???

Oh and I’ve blown the rears of 2x oem 6m6 cranks, though one was an original from 1996, and the other was out of an unknown 650. Both were likely 15-20 years old though, and the 650 one was definitely due to a carb overdue for rebuild. Oem is strong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Other Crankshafts - What and Where to Buy???

I’ve got a used sbt I’m saving for jetmaniac credit. Came out a running engine. The last hotrods crank I removed had Hotrods and China stamped on the bearings. Yeeehaw! Koyo, Nachi, fag, snk... basically most Japanese made should be the best options. I’m guessing most oems use Koyo based on...

Other Carb/Pipe/Pump Tunning - Talking Out Loud

A wet laydown pipe could potentially flood water back into the rear cylinder depending on a few things happening if new orings didn’t fix the issues. Are both your front and rear spark plugs looking the same or is the rear wet still? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'd say you're fine with your 4A batteries. Unless you get some outdoor equipment you really don't need the 12A. Now.. the fan will run all day on it but its not worth the cost of it. If you wait until Black Friday you can likely get a 12a battery for $159 WITH a charger. The 12A are $250 by...

I think you'll use that old SawZall less and less with your new 1-handed HackZall replacing it. They are only different in that the Fuel is the newer stuff. I'd pay for the Fuel over that other Brushless hammer drill because the clutch selector mechanism is simpler and better on the Fuel tool...

Storm season you say? I needed a chainsaw, and found a good deal on the M18 Fuel chainsaw. Its able to cut down several trees on one 12A battery charge. Very impressive! No messing with gas, hearing, its quiet, safe, and very capable. I'm sure you already have a gas chainsaw though

Actually I like the M18 HackZaw. I did have my doubts going from an old 18v Hitachi NiCD which was full-sized sawzall. The HackZaw is a one-handed sawzall and it works well for a battery operated tool for me. Again I hold it in one hand and an M18 vacuum in the other. You can chop up some...

It wasn't as good a deal as they've had before. I got a hammer drill and a blower plus everything else for $600. AND I've had Issues with two tools? Its still a good deal though

OCD, This is almost the exact Milwaukee M18 tool kit that I actually have. I bought mine on black Friday 2018 for that same price too, $600, but it came with a hammer drill and also an M18 blower. I am happy with the set, and have even expanded it by an additional 5 tools and bigger batteries...

Freestyle 809 (5mm stroker) tuning specs?

Sounds good. I'd try either raising to a 115g spring (Presumably this will raise your popoff from 20 psi up to 22 psi) or lowering your pilot jet 2.5 to 5 points. If one works, try the inverse and see which is best feeling. Keep an eye on your wide throttle runs though cause leaning out the...

Freestyle 809 (5mm stroker) tuning specs?

Still at 3/4 t on the low, what happens if you hold the throttle at 10% for ~3-5 seconds and then blip it to 25%, then 10% to 50%, and then 10% to 100%?

Freestyle 809 (5mm stroker) tuning specs?

1/4 turn on the low is low. Does it lean stall off idle? Not like these things idle much any ways, but at that low I'd think you might have troubles either coming off idle or coming off 5~10% throttle. Try running it, holding your throttle for a few seconds at the point of the engine not...

How to tune MainJet/high speed screw on freestyle ski

Bill is spot on for tuning the pilot circuit. In the end low screw should never be over 1 turn or under 1/2 turn from closed. This would necessitate a change in low jetting for sure. I’ve had good luck tuning for 7/8 turn on the low screw following similar advice from lifer tuners. Op original...

How to tune MainJet/high speed screw on freestyle ski

Yea don, Baring WB, EGT, RPM, and hard to tell the seat of pants feel on his light ski, how else is the op going to dial in an ideal 12.3:1 AFR, when half a point or a quarter turn will throw off .5 AFR? Ask the engine builder? Or reference this chart on the day of tuning? Yes, this works...
