    Rickter MX-1 build log

Oh good call. haha I just slid the motor forward for the picture, but we will have to move it forward so the b pipe head pipe clears the side. All great input though, I like hearing about to solve problems with interesting solutions.

Oh, how does that work? Any recommendations? I’m relying on you and Trevor to guide me through this.

    Rickter MX-1 build log

Chamber comparison. The 66E really sticks out there. Lots of room in the engine bay though for this.

    Rickter MX-1 build log

haha, yeah. We'll see how it is but I'm guessing this ski will get a lot of ride time.

    Rickter MX-1 build log

A Superjet limited chamber would not, so with @Storbeck 's help, we tested a Blaster limited chamber and it fits well. I was able to buy a chamber and we'll be able to get that in. I'm really curious about the 66E platform, I've never riden a ski with anything 66E before.

    Rickter MX-1 build log

Since I've never seen a build log for an MX-1 I'll try to put in a bunch of details for anyone who references this in the future. There will be some video along with the written for more context. The video isn't made to be the most exciting and compelling, but will go through our thought...

Cracked engine. What are my options?

Probably a lot more damage than just the lower cases. Take the coupler off, take it all apart and start replacing broke stuff.

    Square nose donor ski

Just assume 10 other people are actively looking for the same and it's a competitive game. It's jet ski gambling we're all addicted to.

    Trinity Composites Matrix Pro rebuild

The OEM waterbox plus everything else in the hose was just too much. I couldn't make it work and have the tank sit where it needed to. I grabbed an Airtime Products waterbox I had in another ski and it worked well. Yeah, a SN throttle cable was used and reached the rear carb no problem...

    Trinity Composites Matrix Pro rebuild

I don't like to shamelessly plug my stuff but since this project is complete and so are the videos it makes it easier. This ski was a fun project. I really enjoy taking a ski in any condition, figuring out what's wrong, going through it and making it better. Takes a lot of work though. I...

Help. whats the best Flat water Ski for 17K or less

I'd say the shape of the hull is more important than what it is made out of. Some carbon hulls ride terrible. Research a bunch of hulls, and ride some if you can. Travel and go to events, talk to people.

Help. whats the best Flat water Ski for 17K or less

Don't buy any Rickter freestyle hull prior to 15 XFS. You see the older hulls change hands a lot, as they figure out its not a very good hull.

    RICKTER talk

You're right, I just took a look at one in the box. Probably better off though, as most kept them on most of the time anyways, especially in the surf. I played around with them on and off on my 15 Edge, and it was a bit more playful on the lakes without them on.

Back from my submarine days, not much as far as radio waves travel through water. That's why every kind of Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) that's under water uses a connected wire. Even a torpedo is remote controlled with a wire (long one).
