When I was first shop trained here at state, the guy who did the training, has 30+ years of machine shop experience and and basically said the same about bs designs and drawings.
I enjoy hands on a lot, like most of you do. However, I'm starting to really enjoy designs and cading things before...
Looks like im waking up an old thread. I am currently a freshman at MSU for ME. I joined the FSAE team here and it was honestly one of the best decisions. Ive learned how to mill, lathe, weld and lay up prepreg carbon. Jetskiing has definitely lead me down this path though lol. There's good info...
These are some x-metal bars that broke on me last year. They had already bent and should’ve been replaced earlier. But, just shows to go what can happen.
I started on a 650sx when I was 12, In Michigan you have to be 16 with a boaters safety to operate a pwc by yourself or 14 within 500 ft of an adult. IMO 650sx or any super jet is great to learn on with lots of room for growth as well, depends on how old your kid is though

So I warmed enough to ride up here in Michigan and choosing between riding a dvx and a working on a superjet the dvx won pretty much every time so between a running ski and the end of my senior year (prom and graduation) this really fell on the back burner. But I broke the threads on one of my...
I couldn't do much today because the 5200 was still curing. Worked on fitting the new 2" pvc drain pipe into the old scupper hole with a 3x2 coupling cut flat. I also went over to a buddy's house and clean up some molds and try my hand and fiber glassing for the first time.
