I have front/side on my current ski with a modded stock waterbox, its not any louder than an aftermarket waterbox. I really enjoy mine, never had a single complaint about noise with it, if your interested I can text you a couple videos of my ski running.

Wrestling shoes work pretty good especially if you dont want to destroy your turf. If wrestling shoes dont work then indoor soccer cleats are the way to go. But they do a pretty good number on your turf.
