    650/X-2 Best carb for 650sx

Just a little comment here. My wife's '88 X2 has a single Mikuni SBN 44 carb and a B Pipe (but tuned to have linear acceleration) and it works fine but it has no way near the power of a Yamaha 701 with stock exhaust with dual SBN 38's.

760 bottom end with 61x top end

@dirtyjrzy This will all come full circle and provide useful info to you and to others. @Roseand Ok, then to obtain bottom end freeride/~freestyle performance, should I / can I put a 61x cylinder on top of that 62t engine that I already have? What is involved? Can I just use the 62t...

760 bottom end with 61x top end

@Roseand are you saying that the stock dual SBN 38 62t engine in my 1996 WaveVenture will make the same or more bottom end as the stock single SBN 44 61x in my 1995 FX-1? I always thought that I had to put a 61x top on it. But should I just swap it as is?

^^^ @Jetskimann You are starting with a clean sheet. I know you have your own ideas, but you may want to ask these guys what engine they would like you to build.

So is an AM power valve cylinder stock stroke engine the best of both worlds? Reliability and a Reasonable Power Increase? This statement from @Jetskimann is what first got my attention: "We made the crankshaft in various strokers, at the moment we will not make them any more. The pistons...

Is the sport / market declining?

I am not gay. But I do ride flat water. Not that there is anything wrong with it. (Riding flat water, that is . . .)

@kevbo I appreciate your knowledge and experience. Is there any 1. weight difference and 2. reliability difference: between a 1200cc engine which has power reduced compared to a ~800cc which is based on a smaller engine? Also, seriously, it is my understanding that I heard that Blue is on...

I think that I heard that Blue is on hiatus. So who are the builders currently of ~800cc reliable nonstroked Yamaha-like engines?

Maximizing Velocity in Two-Stroke Engine Intake Manifolds: Why Speed Beats Volume

Isn't that just because of the manufacturing technique? CNC cannot make as intricate indentations as casting can?
