How much time was it sunk? If it's sunk for more than a few minutes the air vents will let enough water into the tank to be an issue. I've seen a ski that was missing for about 1.5 hours that had over a gallon of water in the gas tank. It doesn't take much to mess things up.

Interesting theory but it's not going to fix people ripping people off. Keeping the free option brings fresh blood into the mix. People who want to say "hi wazzup" that could become strong supporters of the sport shouldn't be scared off by a few bucks when the rest of the internet is mostly free.
