A little update, Painted the bottom hull with epoxy paint,sanded hull with 400grit sand paper.wipe down the hull with paint thinner.laying down the first base coat tomorrow

nope u were the only one..that look cool i was thinking the same cut,something to protect the nozzle.right now my plate is still uncut and 4in pass the end of the hull.so that said i was looking on how short should i cut the plate and angles cuts...the part i am really worried about is how well...

thanks guys,i wasn't going to paint the bottom of the hull with the same color since it going to get beaten up,i am thinking of using something else,but i don't know what other paint would be good to use.i was thinking of some kind of epoxy paint.do u peep have any suggestion? no paint lay down...

maybe some of u peeps can help me out,before i start spraying some paint,i was wondering if i should do something with the tray instead of leaving the fiberglass exposed.maybe layer of thin epoxy resin or thicken epoxy...it just seem something is missing.i guess i am just so used to seeing...

ready to lay some house of color paint...did the final finish on the hull sanding is coming to the end.....yah.....

i got it on a trade,the tubbies did great,i am worry now cause i had to trim the tubbies to match up the carter b rocker nose kit....most of the mods were on the ski before i cut up the ski..i was happy that most off the mods i have was reused.

thanks chris, i lost my vin plate awhile ago...it was were my plate use to be mounted..i need to get one made lucky i have a vin plate in the engine bay..by the way i need to pm u for some parts..

i forgot to post this up,i got my front foothood install and trim of the fiberglass on the tray

there alot of way to get the job done..i look it up in the net and the on x's when i first started building my ski..i saw your build post all i can say wow i can see myself doing 2 build at the same time..it alot of work are planning on chopping up the nose on sn???good luck on your build.

thanks...i did install the kit myself,it was so easy it came with templates and instruction,i use thicken epoxy to fill and smooth out..body filler will work but i am trying to keep the weight down...i am going to use body filler to finish,since i not using gelcoat...but i don't know if i kept...

so i didn't want to bore u guys with the hull work with sanding and filling the cuts with the rocker nose and the lower gunwales...so here where i am at now..it's primer to see the little flaws that need work.but so far it look like i don't have alot.....

i am thinking it 17oz or 12oz baixial fiberglass it was pretty thick then used the finishing fiberglass,i order the material thought carter b i told him what i was doing and sent me what i needed... it pretty much took out the guessing game with what i needed,pm carter b he will get u what u need

i was worried on how thick the tray was going be,being it was only 3 layer of fiberglass...so i went and bore out my rear bow eye,i was surprise how thick it was and it look like the same thickness of the oem hull or thicker

coming together nice...wow that a hugh crack..i don't know if want try this,what i have done with crack that hugh i used chop fiberglass with epoxy resin and mix like cabosil fill sand then sandwich with fiberglass...so far it has work for me..

it's ht9000 epiglass...this came with the kit from carter b...and the temperature in my garage said with 3 heater it's @ 65 degrees...what i have done is kept the resin indoors were my house temp is at 75 to keep the resin from getting thick...i mix the resin when my fiberglass is cut up and...
