The weight difference is not big. I think 1-2 pounds. The finish of the billet is better and smoother, however the cast is not bad at all either. If you are on a budget, safe the $175 for a lighter battery. If you got the cash go for the blink and get the new billet which is a whole lot lighter...
I don't know exactly how long it is, but its sticking at least 3 inches out of the ski. I tried the short one that goes flush with the ski and didn't like it... I hardly ride flat water tho..
Hey Bud, I own a Vision. I ride with long ride plate to keep the nose down. I also ride mostly surf. The Vision rides completely different with short and long ride plates as probably any other ski. Before the Vision, I had 2010 SJ. I also have in my garage a 04 SJ and 2012 Rickter Evo FS2 EVO1...
A 2 months old rickter here got the Epic scupper flap torn where it bents, my ski is 6 months old and I can clearly see the rubber is getting cracked too.. obviously someone needs to address that quality issue with EPIC company... both scuppers are the new style with the magnet

Thanks for the input guys. The odd thing is that I had exactly the same symptoms with my previous OEM ignition coil (if that was the problem at all). It was only 1 year old, purchased with brand new SJ.
