Keep in mind pre-08 has wider bottom than post-08 under the tray area. That also differs the stability between two. I never had problem WOTing my 2010 SJ. It lacked sharp turning stability at very slow speed but at higher speed was carving like a boss.

Its normal, post 08 are less stable than pre 08 at slow speed turning and they turn much worse than pre 08. That was my experience compared to my buds with pre-08 SJs. Forget about it all and get a Vision by Watercraft Factory. Best all around a/m hull there is, priced right.. I had 2010 SJ and upgrated to Vision, 10x more stable than the SJ, 20x more flippier, 30x more turnable. 40x times more fun on flat, 50x more fun in the ocean.
