that gold piece is the reed itself. it gets sandwiched between the case and manifold

theres nothing blocking it? I figured something would be blocking it because theres no hose on the pump side. I never really looked at the inside though

I've got a complete x2 setup as well, I never thought of usting the stock kawi nozzle, and did you notice the SXR has a third pipe thorugh the hull above both cooling lines? Why not just drill that out and run the trim cable through that?
