Maybe not. lol. Having had a stock hull and hood for so long, I've not had to deal with the "location" of hood hooks. The existing holes in the hood were not perfect, but lined up pretty well ........without the hood seal installed. This is why the seal has been clamped down on there for 3...

Dropped some parts off to be blasted.... Hood seal should be set. (clamped down for 3 days) It's supposed to get easier from here on ...... I think.

Back from the painters. I'm liking it. Gold mostly, changes as you walk past. Pole and nose-piece a bit darker. (I think they ran out of paint) lol. But I'm pleased. Didn't pay a lot. Can't expect perfection. NOTE: for those that might use an X-Metal pole bracket with a stock sj pole...

I know....I'm dying here! Believe it or not, I've only missed ONE day of really good waves since this project began. That's not saying much for the waves so far this year.lol.

It's finally at the painters. Still need a few nick-nacks but thanks to Jetmaniac....picked up most of what I need from him at Blue's party.

The back brakes are gone. Tubbies installed. Carter B made 'em and Carter B installed 'em. I can make glass strong.....but I don't have the talent to make it pretty. I asked Carter to do it. His price was very reasonable and his work was superb. I would have made a mess of it for sure...

Gonna cut off the back brakes. The vertical lip/bond-line around the back of the ski. As concerned as we freestyle riders are with low-end hit, it seems like the right thing to do. Not based on science. Just common sense.

Sanding, sanding and more sanding.....ACK! Color might be other than black. Might be something crazy.. I don't know. The new paint plan involves a shop that will do a great deal if you accept whatever leftovers they have laying around. That's the route for me! Currently a month behind...

Black, black and more black. Not so creative. The only thing that will break it up a bit will be the turf.....an exciting gray. I can't put a lot of effort into cosmetics. The sun and salt will take a toll on whatever I do. The ski is stored outside. Pics when It's done will be shortlived...

Painter secured. Nothing fancy. A local with the equipment. But it should come out better than rattle cans. Otherwise, not a lot of progress. The weather has been bad. Cold, wet and not Florida at all. Got a bunch of parts while in Daytona. All in a bin waiting for me to do something.
