Any solid info comparing the Trixstar S to either the Aerial 8 OR Phantom.
Ride reports preferred but other personal knowledge on specs build quality, ride characteristics, etc. helpful too. Fire away
This may be the oldest Superjet still living, an original 1990, and she needs some love. The red is paint, the grey is Marine-Tex, there are deep scratches in the SMC surface and some oily fuel saturation on the inside. I have epoxy and s-glass on the way and have fairing compound but need...
My '90 Superjet needs structural repairs, and while it is stripped I am wondering if it is worth the extra effort to replace the smaller exhaust tube with the larger size used in the 701 skis.
I will be running a ported 701, B-Pipe, TDR waterbox.
I have a 650sx that I love to ride, the footholds front and rear, steering setup etc. really suit my style.
It has CDKII carb, Jetsport pipe, Newmiller head & flywheel, . . . .and a Factory Pipe (woot!) on the way.
I also have a fresh, ported 701 that I was ready to install in my SN Superjet...
I know you rebels are out there - and like me are fighting the fight of sorting out all the info that applies only to our special machine.... "That pipe works great on the 750sx, but not on the Pro" etc.
Share your experiences of what works and doesn't for Pros only!
I am especially interested...
I called Factory Pipe this afternoon and a lady named Heather told me they had "no pipes in stock at this time".
I find it unbelievable that they wouldn't hire people or do whatever it took to keep products in stock that apparently are such hot sellers that they can't keep them on the shelves...
I just had a ported cylinder bored to 82mm at a local machine shop that does not specialize in PWC.
The bottom line is that boring the cylinder eliminated what chamfering had been done to the ports.
Is this a job I can do at home in a cost effective way, or should I just pay to have it done?
I...
I just refurbed my guest ski (WR3) and replaced the fuel lines but estimated a little short on length.
The new lines drape down to about the base of the carb, the OEM draped below the intake manifold.
I assume there is a reason for them to hang down; how much is enough? I am getting ready to do...
This is for what it is worth for anyone buying from Mean_Green.
10/1/14 I purchased a used 62T/62T Ported Motor advertised as ready to run bored to 760, Modded Carbs, and FLAME Ignition from Mean_Green for $2000 cash. Seller was very cooperative, made what I thought was a great deal, and even...
I bought a motor that has scoring to cylinder and piston on one side only - is it safe to go one over on one cylinder, leaving the other as is, or should I have them both bored to match each other even though one side is clean?
I bought a used Flame ignition and have been trying to check the curve settings before installation.
The red power light on the ECU comes on, and the software and drivers are installed correctly.
The Editor shows "no connection", with a red indicator blinking under "Com3".
I have tried...
This corrosion is on the motor side that would face the water jacket of the cylinder. Is this from running in salt water? Is it a problem if the domes are good?
Bought a used motor with these cases, what do you all think about the porting and epoxy work? I am unschooled and don't know if these are trash or treasure or somewhere in between.
