Ski bogging after drop off trailer

I got a little careless unloading my ski off a buddy's trailer today, kinda dropped it in some shallow water. Anyway, I get about 200 yards out and the ski starts bogging so hard I can't even get the nose to come out of the water. I head for shore thinking the altitude is really killing it and...

Other New Trick - Skin the Cat

I learned this today on accident - Zip along pretty fast while bunny hopping a good 1-2' chop. Let go of the bars and push the ski as far out in front of you as possible as you throw your arms straight up above your head and let your body fall flat on the surface of the water on your back...

Help with plugs & high dry idle

Ski ran great in the water for 3 hrs. today, but when the ski is out of the water (pre launch / post ride) the idle surges pretty high and slowly drops. After the ride the front plug looks fouled with black oil, back plug is a nice toasty brown. Any ideas?

I am loving my Tom21 footholds too, and getting comfortable having both feet back. I guess a pipe is next...

    Other Final coat of resin?

Just got my footholds and tray repair all glassed and foamed in. Is it typical to roll out a finish coat of just resin to level it out to more of a glassy finish? (It is all areas that will be covered by turf.)

Midhull Crisis - Finally Footholds & Foam

Well, my stainless steel tray repair got me through the end of last season, but now I am getting serious. :naughty: I haven't dug the foam out of the back yet, which appears to be the wettest part. I am planning to finish defoaming today. I have some water intrusion around 1) the...

Custom/Hybrid Front Stap or Front Hold to go with Footholds

My Tom21 footholds are supposed to arrive today- Woot! I have gotten used to doing all my amazing jetski stunts with my right foot back and left foot forward, both stuffed under homemade foam lifters. The current plan is to do a standard install of the T21's (both at the back) and just get...

    Custom/Hybrid Benefits of Lowered Hood

Are there performance benefits to a lowered hood / nosepiece, or is it cosmetic only? Also curious about advantages of a shortened pole. . .
