I have powder coating equipment but can't fit one of these in the oven. If someone really wants it powder coated I can find out what that would cost from the local guy. We were just trying to keep cost to a minimum and that will obviously add cost.
Check out the pics! Not far away now from getting a final price and taking orders for people who want them, should have more pictures with it mounted on the ski next weekend.
We are about 45mins North of Philly and about 20 minutes from KOP. Not sure what kind of motor work your looking for but there is a place near us called power seal, thats where most of the motors around here go. I do my own rebuilds, but I have not had need for any serious motor work yet knock...
As we have mentioned, the production ones will be cut using a waterjet, this first one is turing out to take a lot more time then I had expected because the difficulty of trying to do it with all hand tools. We are getting closer but still not finished. I will keep you guys informed I really...
Just as an update... We are still coming along with this project. We spent a little too much time this weekend working on the lathe and not enough time working on the pole. We have just about all the pieces cut out, just need to finish the top plate and we should be able to start welding...
All thoughts are taken into consideration... thats why we posted it here, I was actually thinking about it a few weeks ago when I read about people sinking their skis. I'm not sure how we could really get the foam in the pole since whatever you put in it would melt when welding. What may work is...
I was actually thinking about doing that if I can't test it here. My brother lives in Vero so I could ship it to him and he could meet up with someone. He has a SN superjet but this first one is going to be for a RN.
Hoping to have the first one made in a week or so.. Problem we are going to have is it got cold very quickly, it has already snowed! Testing is going to be hard as it means me getting in some very cold water.. Its not like I just want to ride around with it, I need to try to break it.
Awesome! This one should turn out great, Casey (the welder) will be happy as this takes out the guess work. Some slight mods and I see no reason it won't work on the 550.
haha I know right, it idled fine and ran pretty good except for that stalling problem, down low it wasnt spot on but mid and top seemed ok. Cant wait to get a rebuild kit and see what this thing feels like. It looks like I have found my problem though... I will have to follow up after I get it...
Here is the inside of my fuel pumps, dirty and one of the little filters was a third full with crud and the other filter was about 1/4 full with crud. I think this may have been my problem... I guess I need to do a complete rebuild. Then I will put the correct jets in and hopefully I will be...
I dont think the fuel filter is clogged it looked clean on the inside when I had it off. But I cant say for certain so I will check, whats the best way to check? Just blow through it?
In my mind it just seemed that it kind of makes sense that the fuel pump isnt working 100% because the thing...
I already took that off and just run one line from the reserve directly to the carb. Appreciate the thought though. It has to be something fairly simple the thing runs perfect in the mid to top end range, isnt too bad down low but I wouldnt call it spot on. I have to figure this out... its...
I am running the stock air intake system. Unless it flips over and I loose it and it takes me a bit to get to it I dont think it takes on much water at all.even if I run the bilge nothing really comes out and like I said once it fires it is good to go. There have been times I know i ingested...
Hi I has a similar post in the freeride/surf section but thought I would see if I got more response here.
I am having a problem with getting my 02 SJ to start after stalling or falling off. If I prime it 3 times after it stalls it will start 70% of the time right away, but I dont think I should...
