The weirdest things you've sucked up?

a drinking straw.... while I was running WFO on my 750 sx. All of a sudden the motor revved sky-high, and the ski came to a standstill. Thought I had stripped the impeller splines. Then, I reached into the intake grate and pulled out a plastic straw. Yeah....:261: Gotta love ol' nasty a$$ Dog...

1 week into standup riding, bilge pump failure + out of gas in the channel of LOTO

IDK.... the last (and only) time I was pulled back was with a short rope. The jet wash from my friends WR3 would swamp the front end.

SX/SXi/SXi Pro 750 dual carb jetting

I've got a set of dual 40 keihins on a '93 750sx (small pin). Running FPP limited pipe with ocean pro f/a's. I bought these last summer for $250 from Vumad. I'm buying buckshot 44's and will cut you a deal on these if your interested. I jetted them according to the FPP specs for the '95 sxi...

low end power from the xl 700 and sx 750

Well... you'd have to make all sorts of modifications to get the yamaha motor transplanted. It can be done (and has) but if the SJ hull is so much better handling then why not just buy a SJ?

low end power from the xl 700 and sx 750

Oh... sorry I didn't mean to confuse you. The electronics are only interchangeable between the Kawasaki engines. Yamaha elecs don't fit a kawasaki motor and vise-versa. You can take the elec-box from a kawasaki small pin and use on a big pin for instance (the rev limiter would be ~700rpm lower...

low end power from the xl 700 and sx 750

The 61x and 62t engine codes are yamaha engines. Kawasaki lingo is either "big pin" or "small pin" for the 750's. I'm not a couch enthusiast so IDK who makes the XL700 (yamaha I assume). The kawasaki 750's aren't known for their low end power, they're mainly midrange-topend. '92-'94 750sx had...

jet sking a day keeps the doctor away

Would you pay $1/month to support the site and have ZERO ads?

@ SuperJett: I definitely don't mind an optional subscription model. BTW I've got a Linux/Apache web server at my house (not T1 hosted or anything) and wouldn't mind virtual hosting and/or mirroring this site. I dunno what your current bandwith limit is, but if it's under 250 GB monthly it's no...

    vista password help!

Here is another password reset program. It's basically just a linux boot disk. Probably not as easy as the other livecd, but it works for me every time. You can copy the image to a USB drive and boot from it. It can blank the Administrator password. Here is the link...

The Brap device has been deactivated

yeah x2... really like the avatar. Could use one after today. I just got my rig running after dropping in a fpp wet pipe and twin carbs. Lookin' to ride this weekend. Cullman might be a little outta the way for me, being that I live near the water. Lake martin wouldn't be a bad trip though.

how do you like ff3 now?

FF3 seems to take longer to launch. Like 750sx I don't care for the bells and whistles. I thought that was the idea behind firefox... less BS (unlike the old mozilla/netscape). Hell, even the installer is bigger. Only by 2meg but still...
