When in Oregon we had to buy fuel with 10% ethanol, the boats are lazy off idle but seem to run ok from mid to top. I also noticed a big drop in fuel mileage in my truck, but it could be related to the coast highway as well. How are you guy's dealing with the poor fuel, they did have some 110...
Do any of you notice problems with your knees after rolls that go bad or incomplete, or is this just an old guy thing? I'm going to try switching to surf stance to try and take pressure off my right knee when rolling left, I don't want to end up with permanent damage, kinda need them for a few...
Just picked this up. Even with all the spider cracks everywhere, its in better shape (and dry) than my current RN was. This one has been passed around more than a french hooker.......
I put Tubbie 1's on over the winter, and elected to hold them up about 1/4 inch from the bottom but in the positioning reccomended by Blowsion at 36 1/4 from the rear. On flat water the chine walk is absolutely terrible with a full tank of fuel, not as bad after you burn off about 1/2 tank...
Just seems like between dodging the other 5 guy's jumping and surfing, getting to hit the part of the wave you want, and only getting 1/2-3/4 around every time, its frustrating.
Wanted to show all how a seasoned freestyler can take a limited boat and air it out with only 5 minutes total ride time on it. He just came off Daylignts B piped limited, and jumped on my Type4 limited fresh from winter overhaul. You will notice he had to adjust a bit for when it hits to time...
I got the boat easily just past half way with no setup wake today, very odd feeling with 300+ pounds bearing down on you.......:scared: Seems like with a bit more practice and some tuning I could get 3/4.
Shawn, you should be able to pull this off with some practice for sure, 100% around.
Thats what I spent total for the lever, cable, cable stop, to build this. Made the bracket, and the cable pinch bolt is an old solonoid extension from an X2.
You arn't going to believe this one, rebar up into the pump cavity and a custom bend too!!! Gotta love the river........... Will have some pics shortly.
After flushing I hit the stop button and the motor stopped running but kept cranking away, I finally had to disconnect the battery to get it stopped. WTF?? Switch or solinoid?
Crabroll? My first attempt at a roll, not sure what it was. http://www.barry-blanchard.com/movies/jetski/freeride/2008_04/clip1/flvplayer.html
More later today
I'm totaly legal here now, with tools and plugs as well. 8mm pad on both sides helps squeeze the box in snug, but the ss brackets keep it from lifting, no movement. (2" velcro)
