Prtotec pipe/FX-1 I use the Protec Pipe, no fitment issues what so ever. I would trade for a FFP @ any time.

Mat Removal I removed mine this past week-end. Those "bolts" are rivets and must be drilled out. It took <5 min. From start to finish.

By far, IMO the best way to get skis cheap is to canvass neighborhoods in lake/river communities and look for the yard ornaments. i have gotten skis for free this way (only 440's & 550's) You also find the occasional SJ but they are lots more rare.(and not free) You know the old saying about one...

TB, if this is your design for that free ride (flyers/ shirts) you're in the right business. That design is cool. The flame element really sets it off. Nice job! It looks well thought out, although I imagine you will say "Oh, it just came to me and I threw it together." Anyway very cool stuff...

I agree with Mark 44. These springs develop "memory" pretty easily. When they show signs of being "sprung" it's best just to replace them. Leaving your handle pole in the up position during down time seems to prolong spring life though...

650sx I'm glad to see there is still some interest in these old skis... that handle pole looks like you make them for a living! I knew a guy a few years back who's 650 sx could give any body' s sj a serious run. Dont under estimate the power of a 650 kawi!

Maybe strap it down or something? My fear is that it will be unstable, or jump around ect. I'm going to hold open the throttle with wire, but my hands will be holding the hot cable.
