Yeah, it seems that way. I've been cutting a few corners to get it on the water, but I really don't wanna scrimp too much where it matters. I've thought about non fat bar set ups, but with my pole being on my hood, I think I'd end up with busted knuckles :rolleyes:

Yeah, I was looking into the ADA fat bar system after doing some research. I think I'm stuck between that and the RRP system right now.

The system has a grease fitting right? How often do you service it if so?

I know on the 2 and 3 there are a few visual tweaks. I want to say the bump on the bottom of the hull is different too. I don't know if they changed much else. Hurricane is a completely different ski from the bobs

The RRP Is a nice option because they sell replacement tubes. So if you end up not liking the length you can get another set. I was gonna go with an xmetal, but everywhere I tried was out of stock and they were on backorder. I'm glad I went the RRP route instead though. It's a quality piece :D

Hey guys, Looking for some input on steering systems. I'm about to get to where I need to buy my set up, and I'm curious what others are running. I know I want to run 50mm rise fatbars, so that narrows down options a bit. I'm also running in salt water, and I've heard mixed opinions on systems...

I know on my Gen3 stock length isn't recommended. It's advised to go shorter on pole length. I went with the RRP cast pole on mine so I've got more adjustability

I think it's all in adapting. I grew up on 550s and fx1s. Rode a superjet and hated it. But yeah, definitely try to ride any hull you plan on buying first, though it'll still end up taking some time to get use to it.

I have one. Haven't had it on the water yet... but they are smaller than a superjet. However, they are wider than an SJ. For surf, I know it's not recommended without reinforcement to the sides and nose before.

Might have to stop by and see what you've got. All my stuff at work were the wrong sizes. Do you just make it and have a splice or something for the big one on the outer edge?

Does anyone know where to get a set for one of these? Tore down a 62t/62t I bought and need some for the rebuild. Protec on their website didn't seem to list very specifically where I needed to get them from.
