Thats right like i said previously why go to a spot that we dont know if we will be able to ride. Peterborough, wasga, dunville, nanicoke, port burwell, lets get a ride planned
The water is so cold right now make sure you don't cold seize. I run single cooling all year in erie and Ontario with restrictors. But I don't run my motors ice cold like a few that ive seen. Always keep an eye on your pissers and you'll know as soon as you have no flow.
I cant see a random ride spot working in anyones favour. People don't like jetskiers to begin with I would rather go to a spot where someone rides and knows we can have a problem free weekend. You guys know dunville is next weekend right?
The 865 may of had a hard time but if you were to open up the reduction nozzle I believe it would act the same as lessing the pitch of the impellor. My engine was really struggling at 85mm and increasingly got better as the nozzle was opened up. My nozzle is a frankenstein for the 155 pump but...
One specific size isnt the "best size" necessarily IMO you need to try different sizes to determine what is best for you. Engine setup/prop/hull/reduction nozzle/intake grate ect. will all change how your pump loads and compresses water and to recieve optimal performance from your pump you need...
92mm with 7/14 stock 760 pfp tl 155 14 vein
I first tried at 85mm what a joke motor was way to small ski wouldn't even get on plane open it up to 92mm and you have a back flipping machine. Reduction nozzle sizing is more important than impellor pitch IMHO get close with the impellor and change...
I'm just stating my opinion. If I was to go cruise a lake it would not be on a hurricane. I've ridden one multiple times in various condition and if I was riding long distances I feel this wouldn't be a hull on the top of my list.
I used a gp1200r style nozzle and welded on mounting tabs. The nozzle has interchangeable rings. I can change both steering and reduction nozzle dia. I was running a 7/14 with good results on the standard cone and no spacers. If I went to a stubby cone I could reduce that diameter. Like I said...
Setback 14v 155 with a stock 760/tl/pfp and full spec. Reduction nozzle tuning is a must, at 85mm couldnt even get the 760 to move the ski 94mm was best results. Droc has the oem pump working well with a tbm
gp1300r skat nozzle with adjustable reduction and steering rings, ive had best results running steering slightly larger (2mm) steering nozzle , rubber flow guard is a must, i blew mine apart and noticed a huge difference
my 760 with 7/14 impellor and a s/b 155 14 vein medium cone would not even move with a 86/87mm reduction, bump that up to 93 and we have amazing power. Tuning your pump is critical, luckly droc is my local hydrodynamics guru.
