Like father like son. Never thought a grown man who's ran a business for longer than I've been alive would post a meme.... But I guess there's no hope in this situation.
If this isn't allowed please let me know.
So I looked on the forums and asked around before hand. But nobody was saying a thing. Until I bought one. Then people started to whisper to me stuff, and then I started poking around and found more people. More issues. More people. And now we're here...
Which is why I wanted to show everyone...
I would say the price point is an issue. But he just raised his standard c2 price to 5500.
Another local competitor has a standard fiberglass, turfed, metal shoe installed and ready to go (just like my ski minus the shoe) for $4500. And I've seen some of his skis in person and they look really...
I ran an auto repair/custom fabrication welding business. My business partner kinda screwed me so I was no thanks, not to mention working 12+ hour days 7 days a week gets old.
So I took another job working for a guy making decent money and just kept the shop space for personal use now.
I...
So is the fiberglass that's literally not attached inside my engine compartment not a defect? The gelcoat that had spider cracks fresh out of the mold? Air voids in my ride plate, all of the blistering on my bottom deck, and even small details like unfinished corners in the back where the two...
The whole point of this is to just showcase the numerous people who have issues with there hull and have never come forward. Please speak up, it's ridiculous that a company is able to get away with this. And is willing to sell sub-par products locally and all across the globe.
The fiberglass inside the hull is barely considered "glued" together. So yes, if they can't even lay reinforcement pieces what makes you believe they can lay a hull with proper technique and vacuum bag it?
Told me he had no money to give me because he makes so little off of these. And the fact he "gave" me 1k off the price tag meant I got a poorly built ski... I told him take this ski back and build me a new one and he gave me the crazy look. It was then I decided to just say f it and have him...
I took like 4 hours off of work to bring the hull back. And about 9 hours of driving time with $20 in bridge toll. So maybe 150-200 after I calculate gas.
Well this was the "owner" of hurricane himself response.
If this doesn't convey to every single one of you the attitude and the character of their products. Then I don't know what will.
After your told by the owner that "I have no problem selling that to a customer" (prior to getting my gel coat fixed).
Oh and I haven't posted the other half of my pictures. Or all the other issues....
Ride plate fit like Ray Charles made it, sealant on bulk head having holes, air pocket in...
I'll be updating this later tonight... But this is just the beginning.
Here are some of the pictures from inside my ski. Mind you this was brand new from hurricane direct.
And no, I don't care about them fixing this, there shouldn't even be anything to fix from a company that makes these...
