Out of all the pictures I took I don't have one showing the top of the tray. I will snap a picture or two for you this evening.
I'll check the square hull when I get home to see if it still has the foam in it, good idea. I plan on building one heck of a limiting rope just to insure the pole...
Thanks, I am trying my best to have it on the water some time next week.
This is exactly what I was thinking, I will make sure to do that before everything goes back in. Thank you for giving me the heads up.
I was talking about your exact setup with a buddy of mine. I feel if you run a...
Ya I had to grind the pump but obviously went through too much on the seal, we'll try again.
I did the pump inserts myself just to try and make everything perfect with no grinding of the pump. This was Tem's idea and I was absolutely fine with it, so far so good.
What did you use for...
Left work early yesterday and got right to work. The more I look at this hull the more excited I am to ride it. I can not get over the size of the tray! For me it was either the XFR or this, so far I am very pleased with my decision.
First thing I tackled was installing the oem plastic...
Just paint them pink, I like the look of the ski with no turf on the rails. My only thought is exactly what Matt has me worried about, chipping them like crazy. I know I will be rather careful with the hull but I'm sure it won't be long until it has some sort of cosmetic damage. For now I'm...
A pretty penny, Tem will have a cheaper glass version available in the near future hopefully. I feel with these skis you actually get your moneys worth when you spend the extra $ for the carbon version.
Hopefully, I made quite a bit of progress last night. Hopefully will start sanding it...
I went with molded black diamond, that original two tone stuff was horrible. The only dilemma I am having is whether or not to turf the rails, just can't decide.
There will be plenty of pictures to come, I will hopefully have a bunch to upload later tonight or tomorrow morning.
Sorry guys I forgot a few little important things, the hull is a -4.3 carbon. While I was still at work not being productive I decided to weigh the hull and hood.
The hull came in right under 56 lbs. and the hood was 8 lbs.
Well I finally did it, I decided to pull the trigger and get my dream hull. I can not thank Tem @ www.superfreakskis.com and Steve @ www.fastelements.com enough for all they have done for me up to this point. I have gone through plenty of hulls but this is my first brand new complete...
Thank you guys for such a great ride. Wish I could of been there yesterday to witness Brian doing his first backy!!! This ride was so well organized and just a great time for everyone who came, keep it up!
First off I would like to say thank you so much for letting me ride this ski. This is the second time I rode an XFS, rode Taylors for a short while in Daytona, thoroughly enjoy this hull.
This ski was an absolute blast to ride! I haven't checked my hour meter lately but I would say that I...
Can't stop watching this video, great shots and awesome music. Thank you Fast Elements and to the Wavejunkies as well for the awesome ride. Can't wait for the fall ride!!!
The hull is a XFT Top and square bottom, shortened 2.5. Running a 850 DASA stock stroke with enhancer and lightened flywheel. Stock 46's, DASA intake and stock B pipe with mod chamber. Stock pump with TBM and 11/17 Hooker for now but going to play around with props very shortly. So far I...
Thanks for posting these and thank you for all the support! Got a little work to do when it comes to a flat water backflip, great excuse to ride even more.
You can run a pisser into the exiting exhaust hose from the waterbox. I know quite a few people do this to quiet down aftermarket boxes, I personally have never done it but I'm sure it works well. If you want to keep the box I would try this and see how loud it is then.
A couple years back I was in the same boat. I turfed the box thinking it might do something to quiet it down but it didn't help what so ever. As for the turf staying on I never had an issue with it coming off. My advice is to get rid of it, I went back to a stock roundnose box and love it...
Brian is the man!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much!!! This is why I absolutely love this sport!!! Everyone helps each other regardless of who they are or who they know.
Thank you Brian/sjetrider/615freeride.com!!!!!!
