Sounds like a pump cone would be a quick and cheap start. I agree saving other more intensive things for winter. I’m at the point that I’d like to get more from my superjet that I have but long term I would like to move to a rickter. But some other toys need to sell first for that to happen. In...
I'll make this short and sweet. Looking for suggestions on what mods I should look at for a 98 superjet. Currently the ski is stock with a scoop grate on it. I ride in lake michigan when the waves are 3 foot or higher. I've found thus far that I wish I had more torque on the low end so I'm...
As the title states I had to tow in my sxi pro this past weekend and when we got back into the laucnh I had a good 8 inches of water inside... wondering where this came from? Do I have a bad seal around the shaft area? To further this, whenever we're done skiing this ski has more water inside...
Would you describe the Rickter as less tippy side to side? When I was out on lake michigan this weekend I felt my SJ was feeling tippy side to side, almost like I wished the ski was six inches wider as I was navagating the waves.
Is it not that much just remove and replace on the rickter when transfering over? I was looking at this kit https://www.blowsion.com/rickter-starter-kit which says if you have a donor SJ that that is all you need. Am I missing something?
So I've been thinking more about this and I think financially it might make more sense for me to transfer my superjet guts over to a rickter hull but I have a few questions. When out in the surf of Lake Michgian one of the things that frustrated me was the lack of hook up I got from the super...
I am not opposed to going down the road of modding my superjet. I wish I would have gotten more active on here this summer and see if someone would allow me to just take a quick spin on their rickter, I'd like to see what one feels like and how much you notice the weight difference. I...
I live in Hudsonville and only ride out of Port sheldon (I'm sure you know it). My nephew just learned this summer to ride so I finally have a partner to go with and this past weekend we realized we just loved the surf, riding on pigeon lake pales in comparison to going out on 4-6 foot rollers...
After seeing a trio of Rickters out on Lake Michigan this weekend I started looking into what is involved with building one. My goal is to build something reliable with a decent size gas tank to minimize heading in to refuel. I understand this goes against the power and lightness that may be...
My dealer near me has/had no qualms in selling me one and I don't have a race license. I think the main reason yamaha is putting that sticker on there is so that they don't have to put a warranty on the unit, which "for racing only" gives them that right and thus negates them from having to be...
There's huge boulders that line the arms that go out to the light towers. I have to say I bet if he stayed 100 yards north of the entrance he would have lived to tell about it b/c he would have most likely been just pushed into the beach. My guess is that he was around that way b/c there was...
While I'm assuming it's drowning, has there been any cause of death released? I'm almost wondering if he possibly had a health condition that had nothing to do with the elements. I know I would feel better if I was out with him that day if it wasn't the waves but something else... then one...
