If the engine is supposed to performe this bad then I made a bad desicion when I bought it,
But everybody who have tried my ski think there is something that is not right with the bottom end power.
Now I don't know what to belive, if it's maybe like you are saying..
It's like there is no power it runs fine but no power , the power comes on higher in the power band and then it takes of very good.
A friend of mine (got an sxr) tried it and he was surprised how fast it was. To bad that I'm not interested in top speed..
I'm reading the tech section and I have found that I have the water routing a little different. I have the water from the head to a T fitting and out and the other to the flowcontrol before the stinger. But it seems the way to do it is from the headpipe to the T fitting and from the head...
The shop where I bought it, is in another country. I am not sending my ski away, this problem must go and fix here. If I send it away then there will be no riding this summer either. This thing has sat in my garage for almost 4 years because I have not had the time to mess with it.
Now I maybe...
Haha no kidding I got no mechanical skills what so ever, but I´m trying to learn :)
I don´t really have so many people that are familiar with jet ski engines around me, so I just need to try to learn how all things works.
That´s why I´m on here asking questions :)
Yes It´s still true...sadly
How do I do a leak down test?
Should it not have been shoved with the compression test if there is any bad gaskets or o-rings?
The ignition is working good (how do I verify if it´s not?)
I´m going to ride with out the hood tomorrow.
The fuel hosing are all on there...
I have checked the power valves and they are working, I only changed the prop once from a 10/16 to a 13/15 no difference. I have checked for exhaust leakes but I can´t find any.
When I bought the engine I told the engine builder that I wanted some good carbs with it, and then I got the 49mm...
I checked compression today and it was 170 psi in both cylinder.
I'm thinking of changing the ignition curve to something more aggresiv then the one the ignition came with, is that a good move???
I'm starting to get desperate here...
Soo now I'm starting over trying to get my engine to work better, I have changed the prop to a solas concord 13/15 and a stubby cone but no difference in the bottom.
Is it possible to change the port timing to get better bottom end? or what can I do..
The nozzle is already bored if I raise the trailing edges would that make it a 9/16 or how does it works? I don't know much about impellers.
I think I'm better of getting a new one, question is should I buy a 9/16 or a 9/15?... or maybe just go with the solas.....?
Hello
I have a dasa stock stroke dasa 771 pv engine with an oem pump with a 10/16 hooker in it.
Would a solas concorde 13/15 4mm cutback work better with my engine setup?
I'm trying to get a little more bottom end hit out of it.
Thanks/Tomas
Ok I have solder them together now, but there is no green light when I turn the engine around. But as before when I disconnect the cable from the battery the green light come on and I also get spark from the plugs..
I'm so close to get a chainsaw and cut this piece of junk up and toss it in the...
I think that I maybe have found the problem today. I open up the heat shrink tubing that was around the cables to the pickup, and the white cable was'nt connected together properly. I'm going to solder them and then I hope it will work.
