    Exhaust help???

Don't quite understand what the op wants to do. He says "62T motor", so assuming he has a 62T cylinder, he would also need to match/enlarge the 61x manifold (using a 62T exhaust gasket as a template), then installing M8 Helicoil inserts in the 62T cyl. Picture is of such an install (after a few...

Other 760 exhaust bolt size reducer

Pic of a basic, typical 8mm kit, also pics of a driver ( a larger one for clarity). As mentioned in post 21, you could file a M8 screw to make a driver- the notch engages the tang inside the insert- and just buy inserts

Other 760 exhaust bolt size reducer

Thanks for that! The above linked tool is not the right one to modify the op's 62T cyl, a M8-1,25 tool and inserts are required. The 10mm would be used if repairing stripped holes such as for the 3 screws that fasten the headpipe to the manifold.

Other 760 exhaust bolt size reducer

Your inexpensive option - you might look on Ebay- would be: A M8-1.25 helicoil installation tool, and a $10 pack of inserts. Don't complicate your life with locking or tangless inserts. For that matter, you could even get by without the installation tool: file the end of a random M8- 1.25...

Other 760 exhaust bolt size reducer

You might consider M8-1.25 Helicoil inserts in this application- cheaper, easier and have been working well and holding up for me for 20 years on 62T cylinders. - M10-1.25 holes in the cylinder are just right for these inserts, no drilling, no chamfering needed.

blowing every fuse in the garage

Diodes just can't take a joke! If you reverse bat. polarity even just briefly, you may short diodes in regulator and cdi. , "shorted" in this case means they now conduct both directions- all the time. Used regulators are plentiful and easily sourced fortunately.

    E Box Question.

Yes, the connectors of the white/red stripe wire which runs to the pulser coil, suffers from gender confusion. 61X is female, 62T is male. That's why the MSD enhancer has been furnished with a male/ male adapter lead since 1996.

    Mrd head

They " hold up" and they are good, but were discontinued long ago. They are not anodized and might need an occasional polishing. They do not (!) have interchangeable domes, only came in one flavor and MRD Dave could increase the combustion chamber volume easily to specific requirements. If you...

    Wrist pin bearings RAD crank

The op might consider that the pin hole in the rod is no longer round. Seen it happen on a stroker crank recently (not a Rad)

    Starting issue

You might consider unplugging the plug with the black and the white wire near the ebox. I've had a handle bar switch cause an issue just like the op's.

That's right, they did. Regrettably they closed up shop a while back, no more sleeves. The main man , John , is still up there in Oregon , you can google him up and he can do your cylinder.

    crank coupler

Please, consider using a gasket sealer or at least grease on the threads so it wont corrode - you are joining 2 dissimilar metals. It's quite acceptable to use a piece of hardwood- maybe oak or an old hammer handle, then place it against one of the coupler ears and smack it with a hammer. You...
