Guess I need to buy a ford Maverick

Oh I agree, I'm just saying in general because I think about how horrible of an idea the ecoboost is. Small V6 gas engines cranked up to 12 to do the basic work of a naturally aspirated V8 have no place in a full size pickup no matter who makes it. Diesel is the only exception but it's not the...

Guess I need to buy a ford Maverick

The new V6 Tundras I wouldn't touch. I drive an 09 gen 2 Tundra with the 5.7. It now has 435,000+kms on it (~272,000 miles) and it still runs as smooth as the day I bought it. I bought it as a second owner and it has definitely had some issues that are manufacturing defects. Toyota really should...

    Kawasaki 750 running away..tricky spots?

But do you really want combustible/explosive fumes concentrated inside a small engine compartment with open to atmosphere battery connections and the possibility of a backfire with flame front up the carb or an exhaust coupler popping off or ripping at that perfect time?

    Kawasaki 750 running away..tricky spots?

Get you one of these...buy or borrow it if possible, use the oxygen side only and concentrate a small amount of oxygen on all the gaskets below the head gasket (base gasket, intake manifold, carb etc.) do what you can for oxygen around the crank seals too and listen for the engine to rev up when...

Guess I need to buy a ford Maverick

A good friend of mine whom is a chemist and also worked in the aluminum industry for much of his life was also part of the R&D on the GM aluminum body parts experimental alloy rolling. He said that GM figured out a coating that as far as I know, they still use on the mild steel areas of the...

Guess I need to buy a ford Maverick

Yeah that's probably true. Everything is so mass produced anymore there is no such thing as quality. You just have to go with your gut and buy what you think is the best option for you. But I'm still always going to talk trash about that four letter f-word of the auto industry :P

After owning 3 f--ds...I can't even bring myself to name them correctly I despise them that much lol...kinda like our crime minister up here... can't bring myself to use or spell his name...or watch anything he's in because his voice is worse than looking Medusa in the face. But after owning 3...

    Case porting?

While I'm not well knowledged on electronics I believe that the way the better spark is generated through the CDI would be more capacitors, bigger capacitors and better control of discharge to the coil. In the basic function of the coil, yes you are correct in that it is the output to the plugs...

    Case porting?

My experience with this symptom has always been with MSD enhancers. Either they flat out die without warning or the adjustable rev limiter dial failed and the ski wouldn't break 6200 RPM. If you're using an enhancer then try a stock CDI and see what happens. It wouldn't surprise me in the least...
