Started setting up my leak down test. Only thing is the pulse line isnt accepting any air. Even with nothing blocked off its like blowing into a straw while squeezing the other end shut. Am i missing something here or could that be part of the problem?

Ok thanks. I did replace the needle and seat with the rebuild. Its a 2.3. (701 protec ported, protec head, protec pipe). Not sure on spring but it ran great with that setup before. Il try to figure out the leak down test and report back.

Update: Cleaned carbs again thoroughly. New check valve, fuel lines, fuel filter, and by-passed the fuel selector. Problem persists with new symptoms. Now there is black unburned fuel pouring out exhaust (gas, not oil) takes a lot of cranking with choke on to get it started. Also, i have...

Mine does the same thing. But only when its on the hose. If the water gets turned up too high it will take off after a rev. If i keep the water very low then its fine. Interested to hear what people think.

I used a mikuni rebuilt kit. And it ran fine after I rebuilt the carb with the mikuni carb kit. Then it sat for a bit and caused this.

I thought that but on my square its strapped to the dash and it doesnt fit well in the hood hooks. Seems like it would fall out while riding. Why would there be two locations for it?

Its a common problem with squares. If it were me I would just install the footholds and not worry about refoaming. Its a lot of work for a little benefit. Ride the piss out of it and get yourself another ski when you get better or want more.
