I am going to say I have seen some seriously crazy stuff done with JB Weld, one of the craziest was on a carb for a racing go cart, the guy took tubes of JB Weld mixed it up and built up the outside of the carb up with it , then they bored the Aluminum out of the inside and installed a bigger...

At this point I would seriously consider hitting it with JB weld and sending it.

I am going to say yes it will fit, that's it on a stock SN driveshaft , it may a bit of work stuffing it into the impeller or you may have to grind down that bumped out part that holds it into the Seadoo impeller

What choice does he have now, either throw more money at it or run it as is , I do agree the Kawi pump swap is the best option here but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Yes but what you have done there and what Brapperdoodle has on his are worlds apart IMHO . In all seriousness I have spool gunned stuff that looked way better than the work that was done on his stator.

It's porous but it does not have any oil impregnated in it like cases do , properly prepped and welded it should be fine , we used to have a guy weld up stator veins on Seadoo pumps years ago and when he got done you could tell it had been fixed because of the differences in the finish , but...

As someone has both made and seen a lot of really bad welds I think that you are not being overly critical , however in reality that price was really cheap , I agree that the workmanship leaves a lot to be desired from a welding standpoint , I will also say that those are really difficult areas...
