Well I run a stock d-cut. I cant see what good an extended would do you except for high speed running on flat water. I pretty much suck at freestyle so take that FWIW.

Compass? I just freehanded mine, no reason it needs to b a perfect circle, just so its symmetric. In any case round off the corners so you don't have a point to catch your shin on.
