To each their own. I've ridden pretty much all stock stand ups and I don't think the fx1 is any more jumpy than an old 550 or even superjets. It's just smaller and harder to adjust to.
I disagree. I grew up riding my dads stock fx1 and he raced it every now and then on weekends. It's not the best ski, but it handles pretty good around the buoys without much added to it. Now that ours has a 144 pump and a pipe, it's world's better. I'd still take an fx1 stock over a RN or a SN...
I've got a Gen3 glass bob and have to say I really enjoy it. I think it has alot to do with the set up and when you get comfortable with it. I grew up on a 550 then my dad's fx1. Switching to this was a major change. It's fun, easy to toss around, and comfortable for me at least. I'd say the...
Yeah. We had just had a conversation about how he needed to buy one soon before he got hurt. I had mine on that day, but he didn't have his yet. Goes to show that kind of stuff can happen any time. He just slipped in the tray jumping a small boat wake and busted into the bars. Nice helmet is...
Yeah, If I plan on any sort of messing around I wear a helmet. My buddy actually split his forehead on the superjet yesterday. Nice trip to the ER. But yeah, she's a fun little ski. Not the best around but alot better than anything else I've messed with!
Not much progress updates throughout the build, but she's done and on the water! Only had to tear it all back apart once to up the carb low speed jets and put new needles and seats in. Runs like a champ now! :D
Was on the snap on truck today at work and saw some bright green hose sitting in the back. Got to looking at it, and decided to give it a shot. Didn't know if anyone else had tried running it, but it's just a super flexible 3/8 air hose. Don't know how well it will stand up to heat, so we'll...
After a bunch of searching, I went with the Titan system. It seems pretty good so far. No maintenance, sealed system. We will see how it holds up over time. As for weight, it's not heavy at all really. High quality stuff :-)
I put some anti seize on it since I ride salt. Also some lube on the other end. Still made the horrid creaking and I got it as tight as I could without needing a massive cheater bar. Just gonna go with the stainless bolt for peace of mind. Didn't feel comfortable cranking on it so much. As tight...
