I have a 98 also . The best combo is and R&D duel scoop grate and an R&D extended ride plate. I also just picked up JRE ( jet race engineering) quick turn plate , with solid billet bars. and picked up ODI lock on grips. The JRE setup puts you like 2+ inches closer to the front of the ski . And...

you need to trim a little bit off of the steering nozzle. were the bilge hose connects, you need to trim a u shape in the nozzle so i clears and the steering bottoms out first.

Did anyone loose top speed with the 650 nozzle , I also have a freestyle pump cone . I ran with a boat and his speedo said 38mph and i was porpasing a little . Ive got stock ride plate on it. I figured if it hooked up better it would be around 43mph or so . does this sound correct?
