Leak down test before you tear it down. Do you run open flame arrestors or the stock air box with the Wax adapter?

Dose it cook the stator and cdi when you are out riding or when you go to restart it? Ground cable crimp at the battery looks less then ideal and looks like is going to a dasa flywheel cover. It should reach over and hook to the top 1of the starter mounting bolts.

Rod bearings?

In line boring bushings for heavy equipment and general rule is a .001 per inch of bore of interference fit. If OD of bushing is 2" then ID of housing is1.998". I not sure if is the same for a roller bearing but id imagine its in the ballpark. Id say get new seals and bearings and open up the...

I had a wavejammer that ate rocks in a prior life, I took a skinny wheel and sliced it up to remove it from the shaft, but it was a soft aluminum one, might take quite a few wheels to get though that stainless one.

Are just the bearings failing? I'd have a hard time thinking that a stainless steel wear ring/stator that has no moving parts would fail. Got any pictures?

The smallest part can bite you. The woodruff key sheared on my SN, ski would start for a second foreword, then motor would go into reverse, ie, start pumping water backwards.

I broke a Blowsion pole spring 3 seasons ago, tacked it back together, then welded a nut over the tack to tie the pieces together. The heat from welding made the spring a lot stiffer. Pole is weightless while riding, even off the bike it will go to full mast just from the motion of the ocean!
