im putting the head on but the gasket dosent seem right... you can see all the journals for the water to travel through for cooling in both the cylinder and the head... but when i lay the gasket on them, it almost covers everyone of these with the exception of 5-6 1/16" holes that come cut into...

im putting my motor back together but dont know what side of the gasket touches the cylinder head and what side touches the case? one side of the gasket is plain and the other side has a thin strip of something.. ive included pics of each side of the gasket
