head gasket ?

im putting my motor back together but dont know what side of the gasket touches the cylinder head and what side touches the case? one side of the gasket is plain and the other side has a thin strip of something.. ive included pics of each side of the gasket

The gasket can only be installed one way with the dowel pins installed and that would be with the sealant side up.
