My Thanks Button has a Dysfunctional Governor!!!

And I wish to understand why please! Every time I go to thank someone, my thanks button seems to not be there. Is it just me... am I being wrongly punished for thanking everyone so much, or is everyone else suffering the same horrendous fate?

Are we only allowed to give thanks so many times in one day? Perhaps we can only give thanks one time, and then so many hours must pass before we do so again, or maybe such is determined via a certain amount of log-ins? This really upsets me honestly; I feel it is very wrong, and for this reason I become highly frustrated! :rant:

I'm not fond of the search function Pengui, not at all! Please know that I did at least attempt to be courteous to everyone, via reading through the two thanks threads not far below this thread, for I really didn't wish to bother anyone. I created a new thread, for those threads were all retarded (in a fun way of course, no offense to anyone).

The issue has been bothering me for quite some time actually, and so I am still frustrated over the matter to be honest. If the answer as to why it is set-up in this manner is within one of the threads you mention, and you know it to be, just say so, and I will mess with the search function then to be polite of course. I do not believe I have ever used it, and I noticed threads where people were having trouble with the search thread, so I thought it more efficient to handle in this manner, due to such.

My hope is that it possible to change that feature, for it seems illogical to only be able to give thanks once a day. Many times I wish to thank many people within one day, due to so many people being helpful.

Edit: maybe it is actually 24 hours, for it is a new day, being that it is after midnight on the East Coast, and my thanks button is still mia unfortunately.

Simple, there are people who would thank each and every post. It could and would clutter up the post way to much. They would abuse it just like they have abused other items that Darin has added over the years.

I've seen people get thanked for making a rude comment. It gets abused like nuts on this site. Too bad.

The thanx number on this site now only show who help the most and who causes the most trouble.

This part, maybe, I understand more than any other explanation, for I do not like “clutter” when reading. This part you may be able to relate to from my perspective; I sincerely believe in giving thanks in all things. It doesn’t matter to me whether it is good or bad…the things I give thanks for honestly, for I can see good in bad things. Without bad, good is difficult to see; so in my eyes, bad serves a purpose, whether I like it or not. That stated, I prefer to see more good things than bad of course, for I prefer good (like most I would hope). I have been awake for perhaps 15 minutes, so I am not sure if I stated myself clearly…please kindly tolerate if not.

odd: I could have really believed I didn't have to wait 24 hours to thank someone in the past at times, so I think that also led to my confusion on the matter.

If it's that important to you, maybe just PM the person a 'thank you' or send flowers, or candy...(I prefer Kit Kats and M&Ms)

Ja, I know, or I could just keep "typing" thanks, creating more "clutter" like I am having to do with my posts right now, since my thanks button is still mia. So, this is why I think it was a good move on the site owners to create the thanks button. I see a use for that thanks button in that sense! I simply believe it should be available always...

edit: pm takes even more time, and it defeats the purpose the thanks button was created by the site owners I think....yet I do that often as well...or email or text!!
