i have a 04 sj, (61X cylinder, 62T case)correct?

for the big bore kit they say i need a " 62T (701 Raider) or 64X (760) cylinder core." which i understand i am going to have to buy.

then they say i need "An unmodified stock OEM 62T (1996 or later SJ) cylinder head core" what do they mean by this? this says "head" but i thought the 62t was a specific "case" im just confused on what i need to do to have the right head, cylinder, case combo for this big bore kit....

i think i just confuse my self more trying to figure it out

group k 780 big bore. i think it will be better for pump gas. they didn't recommend running the 845 on pump gas full throttle to long i would have to at least run 50/50 race fuel. i ride to much to have to buy race fuel. i have until October to decide, but either way itss gonna be ported polished and decked out. no short cuts.

If they are around the same price id rather get the 845. You can always get another stock head and mill it less than they milled the head you supplied so it gets less compression than what it puts out directly from them. I dont know anything about group k's work or havnt heard any reviews on this setup.

What's got you interested in GroupK?
I think there are better options out there.

Dont get a big bore if you plan on running full speed on pump gas. Big bores are for throttle response, and something to brag about. A ported 62T cyl at 82-83mm will make all the reliable power you can get on pump gas.

if they dont port and match then they will not be building my motor. it is not a option. even if i got the 845 big bore from group k, boring is part of the package, along with matching of cylinder and case, and both exhaust and intake manifolds get ported as well with group k, tweak every part of your motor and repitch a prop for you exact setup. thats why i was looking in to them. but i emailed jet works. we will see.

does jet works port and match everything...? there website sucks

i sure do wish i xscream had prices on there website and jetworks well they need a makeover on theres. but i have about 3k give or take to work with. i will be buying a b pipe out of that too. i think i should be able to get a pretty good motor for that. considering im coming off of a 550.....

what does the mil in a stroker represent?

go XScream (you are in FL)... for $3K you can get their 771 big bore, and for not much more you can start talking about their SS865. Heck, their "Baby Scream" setup is amazing, "inexpensive" and reliable as hell.

Of course you will have some additional expenses with ANY setup (carbs, intake, pump changes) that you need to consider too.

email them for pricing and info on engine builds....

i emailed them, i am just waiting on a response. i like the fact they are close (kinda, bout 6 hours). and i hear nothing but good things from them. looks like i may have found the one to do my work. if jetworks can do better im not afraid to ship my motor to them. ups has a 150 pound weight limit so it shouldn't be to bad on shipping just take a while. time is on my side thou. when i send if off in october i leave for two more months so it works out good.
